Tarotscopes for the Lunar Eclipse Full Moon in Sagittarius
/The Full Moon on June 5 at 12:12 PM (Pacific time) will be in the fiery and truth seeking sign of Sagittarius at 15° in the fourth house of home life and family. At 12:25 PM it will also be a Lunar Eclipse (visible from Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia). For more on eclipses, read here.
Here’s what I gotta say: We, the People, need to fix our home. We need to bring in the brightness of Sagittarius and magnify the truth so we can deal with it. Ladies, gentlemen, and non-binary friends, we live in a country built upon white supremacy. Systemic racism and oppression is a foundational part of our past and present. How about the future, you may wonder? I say, now is the time to kick white supremacy’s ass and fuck up the system. Dismantle it and replace it with something worthwhile. Let’s make this place a safe and more free home for all of us. Black, indigenous, people of color. LGBT. Disabled people. Any and all on the margins of society.
Black lives matter! This should not be a controversial statement or idea. But racism is as American as apple pie, and really fucking hard to get rid of. Fear not though. If you’ve been paying attention, you know that all 50 states and many countries abroad have been taking to the streets. It may have been sparked by the murder of a Black man, George Floyd by a white policeman and his accomplices, but it is turning into much more.
And you know what? Even on my worst days as my sensitive self takes in the news, I’m optimistic. Back in the 1700s, when the French and American Revolutionary wars happened, they were done by the Pluto in Scorpio and Pluto in Sagittarius generations. You know those Zoomers and Millennials out on the streets? Yup. We’re also Pluto in Scorpio and Pluto in Sagittarius.
I could say more about mundane astrology and the placements of Saturn, Jupiter, and Pluto in 2020 and its role to big changes this year but I think I’ll make this more specific to this Lunar Eclipse.
First off, the Messenger Mercury sextiles the Revolutionary Uranus. Your words matter. Your ideas matter. Your thoughts matter. They can and will change the world. Do not stop speaking up. Do not stop showing up. Exercise your First Amendment rights to the fullest extent. At this point, all four police officers involved in Floyd’s death have been charged, but happened after a week of protests. Many other innocent Black people still have killers who are running free. Happy birthday, Breonna Taylor! Get justice for her. Mercury meeting Uranus is a good time to use your mind and creativity. Use the momentum to figure out ways to demand racial justice once and for all. Also, to non-black POC, let’s take down anti-blackness together.
The emotional Moon opposes the Lover Venus and squares the Warrior Mars. In regards to Moon opposing Venus, there could be stimulation and also dissatisfaction. Watch your tendencies to cope in ways that may not be beneficial. In regards to the Moon squaring Mars, watch your emotions and words. Again, find healthy coping mechanisms. Especially to all my activists and protesters out there. In order to bring good to the world, you must be good to you.

This is also a good time to reflect on how you could best support the Black Lives Matter movement and fight for racial justice. How do you feel? What are you personally called to do? There are plenty of roles here. You know the answer, but it may require a little bit of quiet and contemplation to find it.

Because the truth is: We need your big heart in this movement. We need the love you often and easily give. Once you find healing you can also help the world heal as we fight for racial justice.

Virgo, I know that you love when things are in order and perfect and normal. But hear me out, there is no returning to normal. We are living in unprecedented times and things will get messy. In concrete terms, this might mean un-learning whatever doesn’t fit your values and learning how to live with more integrity. Don’t worry about getting it right, you won’t always. Maybe it’s in making political art or charming your relatives into seeing why their anti-blackness needs to go and why the fight for Black lives is a fight we all must be engaged in.

And more importantly, what magic do you possess? I can see you being effective in all areas of the movement. For you, it’s about making a choice. Unequivocal. Bring that passion, baby.
