Week 1: Radical Acceptance. We start with radical acceptance of the good, bad, and ugly that shows up when we sit down. Learn a simple breathing meditation and ways to practice acceptance as an empowering tool.

Week 2: Self-Compassion. Understand the importance of self-compassion and how to cultivate it in your practice. Especially when your inner critic shows up. Learn lovingkindness meditation.

Week 3: Inner Peace. Discover what inner peace means to you and how you can find it, even with all the outer chaos. Learn yoga nidra, or the sleep of yoga.

Week 4: Healing. What is healing? How do you know if you are healing? What does healing look like at a community level? I share my own experiences. Learn how to take mindfulness into your life with informal mindfulness practices.

Testimonials

“I feel a sense of calm after taking a class from Hien, either from yoga or meditation. Hien is very welcoming to the group, a sense of belonging and worth of being there. There’s no pressure on whatever level you’re at. Her guidance on meditation and yoga helps me center myself.” ~Melo H.

“Thank you for sending the replay, just practiced before heading to work and it was truly wonderful. It was the first time I attended (or practiced to) your class and appreciated how you invited us to focus on our inner experiences of the body, mind, and heart by noticing how each pose feels and sensing into various parts of the body.” ~Ruka W.

HOW IT WORKS

Upon enrolling you will gain access to the course player, where all the materials you need will be there.

You’ll be able to download the workbook, join the Facebook group, listen to guided meditations, and access all the Zoom classes.

I will also be emailing you a reminder a day before the Zoom class.

FAQ

Do I have to attend all the classes live? No. I’d love to have you live, but every class will have a replay. The replays are yours forever.

Do I have to have my camera on during class? No. It’s only important that you see and hear me. It would be cool to see you, but not at all required. If you need help when we practice yoga, you can unmute yourself to ask a question.

What if I’ve never done yoga? Beginners are welcome. My sequences will be beginner friendly since it’s a gentle class. If you have specific concerns, you can let me know privately.

How much time will it take? Live classes are scheduled for 90 minutes, but you can always leave early. The last 15 minutes will be for Q&A and discussion. This is where you can bring your questions and learn from your peers. Outside of the live classes, I encourage you to practice a little bit of meditation every day and will provide a guided meditation for three out of the four weeks.

What do I need? Whatever makes you comfortable. At the very least, a yoga mat would be helpful. Extra props such as blocks and bolsters would be nice to have but can be improvised with blankets and pillows.

What yoga mat do you recommend? I love the Jade Yoga mat. Other brands I recommend are Gaiam and Manduka. Be mindful of the thickness and slipperiness of yoga mats when you read reviews.

Do you have discounts or scholarships? Yes. I offer discount codes to my email list. Inquire here for a scholarship.

Can I do a drop-in class? Yes. Drop-ins are available at $18. After you sign up, you will get the Zoom link for the drop-in class and link to the replay if you cannot make it live.
